** New version of the Animation Plugin available now **
Animations can now be placed so that they can overlap the other standard plugins, and more than one
animation per homescreen can be played. This allows for more interesting layouts.
Once installed on your smartphone, you can download and install homescreens that
play animations. The animation stops playing when the backlight timeouts so as not
to impact on the battery life.
The Home Screen Animation Tool has also been updated. The application
is now a complete homescreen building application. Use it to :-
- Build one or more animations for the homescreen
- Drag and drop the animation into place on the homescreen
- Drag and drop the other standard plugins into place on the homescreen
- Set the font size, color, bold, date formats, etc etc for all the standard plugins
- Create the colour scheme
- Play the animation(s) to see how your complete homescreen looks
- Generate a cab file to install onto your device or upload to the web
- Generate frames of screen shots of the animation to easily make animated GIF
- Complete tutorial and sample homescreens included
- No animation file signing required anymore
The plugin is backwards compatible so it'll play animations built with the old
editor, but animations built with the new editor will not work in the old plugin.
The homescreen animation tool is available for windows XP & windows 2000 and
its completely free.
The animation plugin has to be purchased for just $3.99. A demo plugin is available
that displays a nag on and off.
Upload your completed animation homescreens to modaco to share your creations with
others.
Note Nextel i930 Users : the plugin does not work on some i930's
due to certificates. Please try the demo before you buy to make sure it works on
your phone.
